DAY 1: FES AIRPORT TO THE OLD CITY

You will be welcomed by your driver at the airport in Fez and transfer to your riad in the old city to relax.

DAY 2: FES CULTURAL TOUR WITH A LOCAL GUIDE.

You will meet your guide around 9:00 Am and start the fes tour guide .You will start with the visit of the outside gate of the royal palace with its tightly closed doors ,eggshell façade .Then go to the Mellah , the Jewish quarter . The buildings there include charming old houses with elaborately carved wooden balconies and Neoclassical colonnades ,and a number of residential blocks with colored facades .And after that you will go to the Bab Boujould then to the south Borj for a stunning view to the old city .Before you inside the Medina , you will go to visit the Fez pottery , tin-glazed earthenware decorated with predominantly cobalt –blue designs .Your driver will drop you somewhere on the edge of the Medina then start walking deep inside .You will visit the Tanneries to see the process by which animal skins are rendered supple and rot-proof  .And the Alkaraouine university ,Medrassa Bounania .And in the afternoon , you will meet again the driver and go to a nice view in the north Borj and also to visit the Merinid Tombs then to the modern city before you go back to your riad .

DAY 3: FES TO SAHARA DESERT VIA IFRANE, MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS, MIDELT ,ERRACHIDIA AND ERFOUD .

You will drive to the desert around 8:30 Am .First , you will stop at the Moroccan Swiss style city of Ifrane which is around 60 kilometers from Fes .In summer hikers use Ifrane as a base and local trout make it popular with finishing enthusiasts .Then continue and pass through the cedar forest of Azour ,this forest is home to a large number of monkeys called “ Barbary Apes “.You will stop for photos with the monkeys then take a drive to 3 hours through the vast plateau with some nomad families on the way till the city of Midelt where you will stop for lunch .After lunch , you will continue the journey through the Tizi-N-Tlghemt (pass of the She-Camel ) , Rich ,Hammat Moulay Ali Cherif , a small spa ,primarily for the treatment of arthritis and rheumatism suffers ,has been established ,and visitors can make use of the specially built swimming pool. Then through the Foum Zabel Tunnel .From here, it is the beginning of the Ziz Gorges ( Goreges of the Gazelles ) ,which are sliced through the imposing rock faces that presage the rise of the High Atlas in the west .You will stop for photos in this stunning ,unique view then drive through Errachida where you will make drive through the to oasis of Tafilate which is full of palm trees till Erfoud and from here you will drive through an arid and dry landscape .And from here the Sahara desert is just 45 kilometers away. And once you reach you will relax and drink a cup of tea and go for the camel ride. Overnight in a camp in the middle of the sand dunes .

DAY 4: SAHARA DESERT TO THE DADES VALLEY VIA RISSANI ,TINJDAD AND TODGHA GORGE.

You will wake up early in the morning at the camp to see the sunrise then ride the camels back to the starting point .Breakfast and shower in a hotel on the edge of the sand dunes .And after that drive to Rissani which is 35 kilometers from the Sahara desert .You will stop in this city for the visit of the founder of the Alaouite dynasty ,and drive by the the surviving ruins of the Sijilmassa .the first Muslim city in North Africa and the prestigious capital of the Tafilalet .It was founded in around 757 and was an important staging post on the tran-Saharan route ,trading in gold ,slaves and salt .And on the way from Rissani , you will drive through many tribes, villages and towns like Toureg and Tinjdad .Lunch in a restaurant in Tinjdad then continue the journey towards the stunning Todgha Gorge .  From Tinghir ,The road through it follows the right bank of the river ,which is covered with palm trees .About 14 kilometers from the main road there is the narrowest and most spectacular section of the gorges ,where for a of 110 yards the narrow corridor between the sheer, towering walls of rock ( 985 feet hight ) is only 65 feet wide .You will have a walk inside the gorge for like 30 minutes then drive back to Tinghir then drive straight to the Dades valley  . Overnight in a hotel in the Dades gorges.

DAY 5: HALF DAY HIKING  DAY IN THE DADES VALLEY AND DRIVE TO OUARZAZATE  VIA  NOMADS IN CAVES , BOUTGHRAR ,KELAA MGOUNA AND THE AMERIDIL KASBAH IN SKOURA .

After breakfast at your hotel, you will go for a hike for 4 hours in the Dades valley through some Berber villages and the “Monkey Feet” mountain .And around 1:30 Pm , you will meet your driver somewhere in the Dades valley and start the driving .First , you will drive to Boutghrar via an off-road of like 14 kilometers and on the way you will visit nomads living in caves .You will stop to visit one of the nomad families and see there life then continue to the rose valley .From Boutghrar to the town of Kelaa Mgouna , the road on the left of the Oued Mgoun ,consist of a large group of ruined Kasbahs whose lavish decorations can still be appreciated .EL Kelaa Mgouna renowned for its roses so you will have a stop to visit one of the rose cooperative then hit to the road to Skourka to visit the Amerhidil Kasbah .This fortified residence once belonged to the most powerful family responsible for protecting the village and its land .And after the visit , You will continue the journey to the Moroccan Hollywood city of Ouarzazate .Overnight in a riad .

DAY 6: OUARZAZATE TO MARRAKECH VIA AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH AND TELOUET.

After breakfast , you will start the journey to Marrakech .You will start with the visit of the Tawirirt Kasbah and the cinema studio where some international movies were shot like Lawrence of Arbia , the bible and so on then continue to the UNESCO site of Ait Benhaddou Kasabah were many movies were shot as well .The Kasabah is studded with crenellated towers and its buildings decorated with lozenged motifs and it is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages of its kind in Morocco .After the visit of the K asbah , you will continue through the windy caravan road through the high atlas mountains to the Kasbah of telouet . Lunch in a local restaurant then go for the visit of the the Dar Glaoui ( Kasbah Telouet ) .Built in the 19th century ,it was enlarged and extravagantly decorated in order to serve as the residence of Thami El Glaoui .And after that you will continue the journey to Marrakech for 3 hours and a half .
