DAY 1: FES TO TO MERZOUGA VIA IFRANE ,MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS ,MIDELT ,ERRACHIDIA AND ERFOUD .
At 8:30 Am, you will meet your driver at the hotel and start the journey to the desert. 60 kilometers from Fes you will have a stop in Ifrane , built as a mountain health resort ( 5400 feet) in 1929 .With the tiled roofs of its chalets giving it a distinctly European appearance and it is called by Morocco as “Moroccan Switzerland” then continue to Azrou ( 4100 feet) stands on the edge of the most beautiful and best preserved of morocco ‘s cedar forest .Then you begin the long climb into the Middle Atlas ,through an old cedar forest and holm oaks lashed by the wind ,stop in the forest to see the monkeys “ Barbary apes “then go on .Beyond Timhadite lies another ,completely barren plateau which is reminiscent of certain lunar landscapes .The ground is pitted with small volcanic craters ,some filled with rainwater known here as Aguelmane .
You will reach Midelt on lunch time and stop in a restaurant .After lunch , you will continue driving through Tizi-
North of the town ,the road follows a picturesque route for about 140 kilometers along the edge to the emerald-
DAY 2: SAHARA DESERT TO THE DADES VALLEY VIA THE VISIT OF THE KHAMILIA TRIBES TO SEE THE GAWA MUSIC, RISSANI ,TINJDAD AND TODGHA GORGE.
In the morning at the camp , you will wake up before the sunrise to enjoy it on a sand dune then ride the camels back to a hotel for shower and breakfast .And after that you will drive to a tribe nearby the sand dunes to enjoy the Gnawa music played by very dark skin people called the Haratin .Then drive to Rissani where you will visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and walk in the market of Rissani if it is the market day then continue the drive to Toureg ,Melaab and Tinjdad .
On the way ,you will cross many towns and villages and you will stop for lunch somewhere in Tinjdad then go on to Todgha gorges ,the road through it follows the right bank of the river ,which is covered with palm trees .About 14 kilometers from the main road there is the narrowest and most spectacular section of the gorges ,where for a of 110 yards the narrow corridor between the sheer, towering walls of rock ( 985 feet hight ) is only 65 feet wide .You will have a walk inside the gorge for like 20 minutes then drive back to the main road to continue to the Dades valley . Overnight in a hotel in the Dades gorges .
DAY 3: HIKING AND TREKKING AMONG THE VILLAGES IN THE DADES VALLEY.
This day will be for trekking and hiking in the Dades valley .The Dades valley also called the valley of one thousand Kasbahs , brown pise in a verdant valley bathed with winding clear waters of the Dades , the rich ocher of the rocky desert contrasting with mountains tinged with patches of white snow ; the pastel hues of fruits trees blossom : This landscape are enough to inspire anyone to become a painter .You will start in the morning around 9:00 Am , and you will go for a hike in the fields then climb the rocky mountains where the mountain is called the Mokeny feet mountain .You will also walk within the villages and see the real life of people .
Picnic somewhere in the mountains then trek back to the hotel .You will have a choice as well if you want to spend the second night in a cave in the mountain with a nomad family then on the other day you will trek back to the hotel for shower then drive to Marrakech .
DAY 4: THE DADES VALLEY TO MARRAKECH VIA THE ROSE VALLEY ,SKOURA ,OUARZAZATE ,AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH AND THE HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS .
After you discover the Dades valley, you will drive to Marrakech .From the Dades gorges you will drive back to the main road .the road is bordered by a series of Ksour and Kasbahs, including the Kasabah of Ait Arbi, Mohdash and so on .You will stop in the rose valley in Kelaa Mgouna to visit a rose cooperative and see the rosewater distilleries then go on and pass trough the fertile oasis of Skoura then to the Moroccan Hollywood of Ouarzazate. The town stands in the middle of an arid plateau that contrasts sharply with the slopes and vegetation of the nearby High Atals .You will visit the Taourirst Kasabah and a cinema studio then hit the road the Kasabah of Ait Benhaddou .
Lunch in a local restaurant. The fortified village of Ait Benhaddou has been classified ny UNESCO an one of the world’s cultural treasures .In Ouarzazate and in the village of Ait Benhaddou , many movies were shot in this places like a scene from Bernardo Bertolucci’s the Sheltering sky ( 1990 ) ,Games of throne , Lawrence of Arabia and so on .You will go for a walk in the Kasabah and after that you will drive straight to Marrakech through the windy road the High Atlas mountains .You will stop on the way for pictures and breaks also stop in the middle of the mountains to see an Argan cooperative if you are interested .
