DAY 1: MARRAKECH , HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS ,AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH ,OUARZAZATE ,SKOURA AND THE ROSE VALLEY .
This desert journey will start from your riad or Hotel where you will meet your driver and hit the road to Sahara desert.In the windy road of the high atlas mountains , you will have stops for pictures and for some panoramic views .You will pass by the famous villages of Tdarat and see the smoky fire places cooking Tajines for the pass by passengers and from here you will start driving up to the highest pass in north Africa 2260 miters then descending slowly to the foothills of the mountains where the Kasabah of Ait Ben Haddou is built . Aït Benhaddou was once served as the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech in present-
Aït Benhaddou was once a significant stop for traders carrying gold, salt and slaves along the famous Southern Caravan route moving through the Sahara. Lunch in the Kasabah then go to the Moroccan Hollywood to visit of the atlas studios . David Lean filmed Lawrence of Arabia at The Atlas Film Studios in the early 1960's. Since then many famous directors have followed in his footsteps to exploit the magnificent scenery.
International blockbusters shot here in recent years include: the French verions of Cleopatry, Bertolucci's Sheltering Sky, Scorsee's Kundun, Gillies MacKannon's Hideous Kinky, Ridley Scott's Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, Oliver Stone's Alexander the Great, Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heave and Penelope's Cruz's Sahara.And after that drive on the Dades valley via the rose valley were you will visit a rose cooperative running by a group of women ,visit the cooperative then drive straight to the Dades Gorge for an overnight.
DAY 2: THE DADES VALLEY TO THE SAHARA DESERT VIA TODGHA GORGE ,TINJDAD AND ERFOUD .
In the morning around 8:30 Am, you will start the Sahara journey from the Dades valley. Driving along you will pass flowerfilledfields, fertilefields, riverbanks and several fortified ksours. At the bottom of Gorge of BoulmaneDadès there are ruined hilltopKasbahs and valley floorgardens. Protected by the mountains, Aït Youl is among the largest Glaoui Kasbahthat is worth a pitstop. In the town of Boumalne Dades you will stop for a panoramic view to see the whole valley with the high atlas mountain background then continue to Todgha valley which is 55 kilometers away.
The Todra Gorge extends from the village of Tamtatoucheto Tinerhir. The Todra, with cliffs rising dramatically up to 300m on each side of a narrow corridor, make up some of the most impressive cliffs and are by far, the highest in Morocco. After the visit of the Gorge you will drive to Tinjadad and stop for lunch then go on straight to the desert via Erfoud .when you reach the desert ,you will have a cup of mint tea then get ready for the camel adventure for one hour and a half to the middle of the sand dunes . Overnight in a camp in the middle of the sand dunes.
DAY 3: SAHARA DESERT BACK TO MARRAKECH VIA NKOB AND THE DRRA VALLEY.
Today’s journey is going to be a long drive from the Sahara desert to Marrakech .So all you will do is just have some stops on the way for breaks and lunch .You will drive from a different direction from the desert to Ouarzazate then from here you will drive through the high atlas mountains back to Marrakech .And from the desert you will drive through Rissani ,Tazzarine ,Nkob and Draa valley then to Ouarzazate.
