2 Day Sahara desert tour from Fes to Merzouga and back to Fes

Enjoy the traditions and culture of Morocco as you visit Merzouga dunes in 2 days 1 night travel from Fes and back. Moroccan nature shows various beautiful scenery of each season. Enjoy the view of each season with the local guide.

DAY 1: FES TO MERZOUGA VIA IFRANE ,MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS , MIDELT ,ERRACHIDIA AND ERFOUD .

You will start from your riad in Fes at 8:00 AM .you will drive to Ifrane and stop for a break and a walk for like 15 minutes then continue to Azrou cedar forest where you will stop for photos and feed the monkeys, so do not forget to take some nuts with you for the monkey .And after that, you will drive through the vast plateau of the middle atlas mountains towards Midelt where you will stop for lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga.

After a glass of mint tea, we’ll leave our luggage in a safe room then take a camel ride to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi Sad Dunes which are the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from to the camp where we will set up Berber tents for our night in the desert. The tents are well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars.

DAY 2: SAHARA DESERT BACK TO FES.

After breakfast and shower in the Sahara desert, you will drive the same way back to Fes and the drive is going to be roughly 8 hours and a half.
